When dealing with yellow diamonds and coloured diamonds in general, you know to throw out what you know about white diamonds as the same rules do not apply. With white diamonds cut and proportions are the most important ingredients to get that all important life and sparkle, this is not the case with yellow diamonds. Of course you still want a well cut diamond, but where white diamonds are cut to reduce the visibility of any colour, yellow diamonds are cut to retain the colour.
